To celebrate Valentine's Day, the town is waiving fees through March 31. Residents can find their new furry best friend free of charge at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Typically, adoption fees consist of spaying/neutering, rabies vaccinations, and the cost of microchipping. But as part of the event, all shots and tests are waived.
