Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department's Homicide Squad have announced that an arrest has been made in connection with a homicide that occurred in South Hempstead, New York. On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at approximately 7:40 A.M., the victim - Rebecca Carlson, 39, of Hempstead - was found lying deceased on the ground next to a dumpster in the rear of Advanced Auto Parts located at 1140 Grand Avenue in South Hempstead.
